Third Party Litigation Funding Reform advances with Bipartisan House passage

Michigan’s House has passed HB 5281 on a 60-45 bipartisan vote, advancing proposed third-party litigation funding reforms that would require funder disclosure and registration, restrict funder control over litigation outcomes, cap funder recoveries and bar foreign adversaries from financing lawsuits.
