UK lenders urge judges to block mass motor finance lawsuits

Eight major UK lenders are asking the Court of Appeal to block omnibus motor finance claims, setting up a pivotal test of whether mass consumer actions can compete with the FCA’s £9.1 billion redress scheme and opening a major opportunity, or constraint, for funders backing high-volume mis-selling litigation.
