Victoria’s highest court unswayed by GCO litigation funding argument

Dippy Singh reports that the Supreme Court of Victoria has approved a 33% group costs order in the Entain class action but rejected Maurice Blackburn’s argument that a higher 35% rate was justified to attract third-party funding, finding no basis to increase group members’ costs to accommodate a proposed co-funding arrangement.
