Arbitration Update: US$1.58 billion claim for damages net of Indian taxes

Panthera Resources has filed a US$1.58 billion arbitration claim against the Indian Government alleging that it breached its obligations under the Australia-India Bilateral Investment Treaty. In 2023, LCM conditionally agreed to provide up to US$13.6 million in funding to support the claim, and subsequently obtained several extensions to its deadline for completing diligence. The claim has now been filed.
